5.  March 19^th- Gator Gallop 5K and Fun Run

Space Day!

Wow! What an awesome day we've had! Students spent the day rotating through 4 different space centers. They had a chance to learn more about the planets where they made a planets headband to represent the planets in our Solar System. They learned about the Milky Way galaxy and how it was formed and then created their own Milky Way galaxy. They listened to the story "Aliens Love Underpants" and created their own Alien with underpants. Our last station was in our own room where we learned more about the moon. Students created craters using flour and marbles and then they made their own moon rocks! I was so impressed with the students as we rotated from classroom to classroom. Their behavior was excellent! Here are some pictures from our fun filled day! 

Snow Day!

We couldn't resist stepping out into the snow this morning! It is always so fun to see the kids enjoying the snow! Here are a few pictures, although it is hard to see, I promise there was some snow!

Classroom News: February 1-5

Money Centers- here are a few pictures from our money centers. Students have been rotating through a variety of differentiated money centers this week. While students worked in centers, small groups were pulled to work on solving word problems with money.

Science Lab- this week we were able to visit the Star Lab! Students were able to discover many stars and constellations in the night sky. Here are a few pictures from our visit.
